Responsibilities:
- Lead the certification process for UL or ETL & CE listings of retail display products and illuminated signage.
- Design and modify products to meet NEC and international safety standards.
- Prepare and submit documentation for product testing and certification.
- Coordinate with testing laboratories and manufacturers to ensure compliance.
- Implement quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards.
- Conduct on-site testing of prototypes and final products in Taicang, China.
- Collaborate with design engineering teams in Europe & The U.S.
- Train QC engineers on compliance and safety standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product testing and certification.
- In-depth knowledge of UL/ETL & CE standards and certification processes.
- Strong project management and quality assurance skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to Taicang, China or other required locations.
- Proven experience in electrical design and development, with familiarity in electrical components such as PCB boards.
- Experience in on-site testing and training.
- Proficient in English, Mandarin and familiarity with Chinese business practices
- Experience with technical documentation and reporting, including the preparation of detailed technical documents and reports.
- Flexibility of working hours may be required for international calls
- Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ideally, based in or near Taicang or willing to relocate.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
